Republica Wins Big at 2018 ADDY

Republica took home top honors at the American Advertising Federation’s American Advertising Awards Miami. The Miami-headquartered agency was recognized for its work for clients Toyota Motor North America, Sedano’s Supermarkets, The Tank Brewing Co., Plasencia Cigars, and pro bono client, Amigos For Kids. The event was held at Light Box at Goldman Warehouse in the Wynwood Arts District.

Republica received the night’s top honor, Best in Show, for “Broken Crayons,” the global public service campaign created for Amigos For Kids that addresses the very real, hidden signs of child abuse. The campaign also received four gold as well as Best in the Out-Of- Home and Ambient Media category.

“Republica is proud to accept these awards on behalf of our client partners who inspire us to rethink relevant and produce compelling, effective brand campaigns,” said Jorge A. Plasencia, co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Republica. “Being recognized by our industry peers is a true testament to the caliber and passion of the talent we have at the agency,” added Plasencia.

Receiving additional gold ADDYs were “Recorriendo Historias,” an effort centered around the 50th anniversary of the Toyota Corolla; “Where Do Traditions Come From?,” a radio campaign created for Sedano’s Supermarkets; as well as websites developed for clients Plasencia Cigars and The Tank Brewing Co. The ten recognitions make Republica the most awarded agency of the night.
