Alban named VP of Communications at Viacom International Media Networks

Viacom International Media Networks of the Americas announced that Michelle Alban has joined the organization as Vice President of Communications. In this new role, Alban will lead the development and execution of all internal and external communications strategies for VIMN of the Americas, which includes Latin America, U.S. Hispanic and Canada. She will report to Susana Sala, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Administration for VIMN Americas and to VIMN Communication leads; Matt Baker, Senior Vice President of Communication and Kate Laverge, Senior Vice President of Communications and Culture. She will be based in the Miami office.

Alban brings 15 years of international communications, public affairs and media industry experience to the role. Her background includes leadership communications roles at NBCUniversal and Telemundo, as well as a deep understanding of digital media, research and analytics having started her career at Nielsen. An unflappable executive, she is an Air Force veteran; and her crisis communications experience includes representing Mobilizing MSD (Marjory Stoneman Douglas) Alumni in the immediate aftermath of the Parkland shooting.
