Bernard named Chief Revenue Officer at NGL Collective

John Leguizamo announced that he and his partners are expanding their Latino media and entertainment company to form NGL Collective, and have appointed advertising industry veteran, Joe Bernard, as Chief Revenue Officer, effective immediately. Bernard will drive revenue and oversee the monetization and creation of new and existing lines of business within the organization. Based in New York, he will report to NGL Collective’s CEO and Founder, David Chitel. The new structure spearheaded by NGL Collective will consolidate NGL Media and NGL Studios.

“The face of America has changed, and media and entertainment haven’t kept up to reflect the growing number of Latinx and other multicultural faces that are driving growth in this country in so many ways,” said NGL Collective partner, Leguizamo. “At NGL Collective, we’re refreshing that narrative by producing culturally-relevant content, and connecting advertisers with the audience in new and innovative ways.”

NGL Collective is a pioneer of new media and entertainment that connects advertisers and New Generation Latinos through video across platforms in-language, in-culture and in-context. Long before it was considered the norm to connect with bilingual and bicultural U.S. Latinos, NGL was at the forefront of leading the conversation and blazing the trail for many who have since followed. The term “New Generation Latino” or “NGL,” was first used by Chitel’s organization almost two decades ago and has stood the test of time.

“Reaching today’s New Generation Latinx (NGL) audience requires a refreshed approach of in-language, in-culture and in-context media and entertainment,” said Chitel. “At NGL Collective, we specialize in helping advertisers do just that through video regardless of medium, platform or language. With the addition of my good friend and NGL pioneer Joe Bernard as our new Chief Revenue Officer, I’m beyond excited about the next phase of our company’s growth.”

“Joining NGL Collective is a natural progression of my career,” said Bernard. “David and I have been traveling on parallel paths since we started in this business, and it’s especially gratifying to have the opportunity to not only continue growing NGL, but to drive a new narrative in the marketplace around our stellar offering and what we stand for. NGL pioneered this space long before it was cool to do so, and I can hardly wait to share some additional announcements we’ll be making in the near future.”

Prior to joining NGL Collective, Bernard was the Senior Vice President of Client Development for NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
