Jorge Ulla honored with the 2018 El Award from El Diario-La Prensa NYC

Jorge Ulla, Partner and Chief Ideation Officer of d expósito & Partners, was honored in the exclusive Grand Havana Room, on Friday, October 19th in New York City, with the El Award, a recognition that celebrates the achievements of Latino men in the Tri-State area and their contribution to the community in the corporate, business, entertainment, sports and community arenas. It was created by America’s oldest Spanish newspaper, El Diario-La Prensa, part of ImpreMedia.

Standing out among his many accomplishments, Mr. Ulla is a multiple winner of Clio, Addy and Telly awards as a director as well as recognition from the NY Festival and London Film Festival, among others.

He was awarded the IDA Award from Hollywood’s International Documentary Association and one of his documentaries is preserved by the Library of Congress. Ulla is an award-winning film-maker and a two-time Grammy-nominated music producer in the Latin Jazz category. He is also a recipient of the “Film Blue Ribbon Award,” “The FACE Award” (Facts About Cuban Exiles) and “The ACE Award.”

Jorge helped found d expósito & Partners with his wife, Daisy Expósito-Ulla and a team of colleagues. More than just the head of creative services, Jorge Ulla ensures excellence in ideation and innovation across all functional areas.  His creative vision and deep consumer knowledge have already garnered a number of industry and client awards. Jorge has also bestowed the honor of being selected to sit on various creative judging panels, including the Addy Awards.

To his advertising, marketing and director film experience, Jorge adds a rich, eclectic background in other communications-related fields of music production, journalism, television writing and production, and image-making.
