Circulo Creativo Announces New Leadership Team

Circulo Creativo, a non-profit association dedicated to promoting excellence and creativity within the U.S. Hispanic Marketing profession, announced that it has named Luis Miguel Messianu, President & CCO at Alma, its new Chairman of the Board, and Gustavo Lauria, Partner & CCO at We Believers, its new President.

Given the changing landscape of the U.S. Hispanic market, Circulo Creativo decided to reinvigorate its leadership team with experienced industry leaders in order to quickly and efficiently unite under a shared vision, which will focus on promoting the value and creativity of the U.S. Hispanic marketing industry as a whole and challenging the industry to elevate their game.

In the coming weeks Circulo will be announcing more additions to the leadership team that will focus on the growth and expansion of the organization to be better able to address the core goal of expansion and support for Hispanic market agencies.  This new expanded team will bring a rich mix of cultures, business knowledge and industry expertise to the table, which is at the core of how Circulo Creativo wants to approach the group moving forward. In fact, among the first new steps taken by the new leaders are:

·      Extending the roster of collaborators outside the creative world to include planners, content developers, production companies, media partners, PR agencies, clients and advertisers to further unite the market

·      Revamping the 2015 U.S. Hispanic Idea Awards to include new categories and expanding the national jury across the board to bring more representative agencies into the fold.

“For me becoming chairman of Círculo is definitely ‘full circle’ and it couldn’t happen at a better and most exciting time — I was a founding member and the first president in 1999, and it’s quite an honor to be back,” said Luis Miguel Messianu, President & CCO at Alma. “Our industry is at a crossroad and it’s important to keep raising the creative bar while setting the record straight. There are several misconceptions about the new multicultural America and an erroneous take on Total Market.”

“It is time to have a more active role and be more inclusive in generating a dialogue among our people, and providing them with the resources to create better work through educational events and collaboration,” said Gustavo Lauría, Partner & CCO at We Believers.

“As creative professionals it is our duty to educate and lead. I feel privileged to serve our industry and I’ll do it with passion, integrity and commitment.” Messianu added.
