Santiago appointed GM of Edelman Miami

Carla Santiago has been appointed General Manager of Edelman Miami effective September 1st.

Since joining Edelman Miami in 2018 as SVP/Deputy General Manager, Carla has been spearheading the office’s client relationship management and new business growth strategy, while solidifying and integrating the team’s multicultural expertise, capabilities and resources across Edelman’s global network. On her day-to-day, she is in charge of the office’s Brand Practice counseling clients such as Netflix, Gerber, Blackrock, Barilla, Spotify and Xbox. Currently, Carla is also co-leading the agency’s Latinx ERG, Inclusivo, and is one of Edelman Multicultural team leads.

With 15 years in the marketing communications industry, Carla has worked with large multinational clients such as Procter & Gamble, Unilever, JP Morgan Chase, and AT&T. Most recently, before “boomeranging” back to Edelman, Carla was the head of field public relations in Latin America & the Caribbean for Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Carla is a brand marketing and corporate communications executive with an accomplished track record developing and implementing strategic communications programs for global consumer brands in the U.S. Hispanic, Latin American and Caribbean markets. She also sits on the national board of directions of the Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA).
