Bromley Communications In Search Of Gold @ 2002 One Show Awards.

Bromley Communications may soon be striking gold – golden pencils that is. The One Show recently announced that Bromley Communications has been chosen as a finalist for a 2002 One Show Award in the Logo/Trademark category for its “Film San Antonio” logo, created for the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau’s 2002 San Antonio film guide.

The FilmGuide02 SanAntonio was created as a service directory for local production crew personnel, as well as a marketing guide to showcase San Antonio’s many beautiful backdrops to filmmakers nationwide. The 50-page guide, containing a detailed crew listing, location photos and descriptions of historical and cultural amenities such as the missions, River Walk, historic theaters, museums and neighborhoods will be distributed to some 3,000 producers, directors, production managers and location scouts across the country.

“Our goal is to promote San Antonio as an excellent filming location, with a very talented crew base,” said Leighton Chapman, San Antonio Film Commissioner. “The distinctive logo, creative artwork, detailed photos and extensive personnel listings in the new San Antonio FilmGuide will assist us tremendously.”

The One Show is an annual award sponsored by the One Club for Art and Copy, a non-profit organization established in 1975 to recognize and promote creativity in the advertising industry. The One Club’s personal mission is to educate and inform industry professionals and public participants alike about the importance of creative standards in advertising.

The One Club and The One Show Awards assemble a team of the most influential creative directors throughout the world to make up the team of judges. The award itself – a golden pencil, is regarded as the ultimate achievement for copywriters and art directors alike.

Bromley Art Director Ron Landreth teamed with agency Illustrator Jaime Sustaita to create the tri-color logo, which will be published in the One Show Annual, Volume 24.
