Castells & Asociados Honored By Cable Industry.

Castells & Asociados Advertising was recently honored by the Southern California chapter of the Cable and Telecommunications Association of Marketing (CTAM) at the group’s 5th Golden Palm Awards Gala. The event, which promotes and recognizes highly creative marketing, promotional and public relations activities within the local cable and telecommunications community, was held on February 27 at the Marina del Rey Ritz-Carlton Hotel.

Castells & Asociados was presented with the “Bundled Marketing” award for a direct mail piece the agency developed for their client AT&T Broadband-Los Angeles (now known as Comcast Los Angeles.) The piece was created to motivate current customers, cable subscribers, to purchase additional services, specifically Internet services. The Castells & Asociados account team responsible for the direct mail piece includes Patricia Annicchiarico as the Creative Director, Noel Arias as the Senior Art Director and Arturo Monroy as the Copywriter.

By winning this award, Castells & Asociados’ work for the cable industry was highlighted. The shop considers this industry one of their specialties and is currently the advertising agency of record for Comcast Los Angeles, Time Warner Communications Los Angeles, LA Cable Coop and Charter Communications Los Angeles.

“This award-winning direct mail piece created by Castells & Asociados clearly highlights one of our key competitive advantages by tying digital cable and internet services together in one package, for one low price,” said Paula Dowd, Marketing Vice President of COMCAST Los Angeles, formerly AT&T Los Angeles.

“This is an excellent piece, gets right to the point on the front cover,” said Art Wroobel, President of Art Wroobel & Co. and UCLA Extension marketing professor.

“We are very proud to win this award for our client,” said Liz Castells-Heard, President/CEO of Castells & Asociados. “We are excited to demonstrate to clients that direct mail is a creative means as well as a cost effective one.”

This year’s Golden Palm Awards competition drew more than 400 entries in 12 categories. The goal of the event is to recognize advertising campaigns that employ out-of-the-box thinking or maverick marketing techniques to drive results within the Southern California cable and telecommunications markets. Entries were judged on creativity, execution, results, and appropriateness for the categories in which they were submitted.
