DDB Worldwide Communications Groups Acquires Stake In del Rivero Messianu Advertising.

DDB Worldwide Communications Group Inc has acquired a stake in del Rivero Messianu in Miami.

DDB owned an interest in del Rivero Messianu from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, DDB sold its interest back to management though the two companies continued to work together on mutual clients. The principals of del Rivero Messianu are Eduardo del Rivero, President, and Luis Miguel Messianu, Chief Creative Officer. The two founded del Rivero Messianu in 1993 after working at leading agencies that included GSD&M, Lintas, McCann-Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, and Young & Rubicam.

“The acquisition of del Rivero Messianu further expands our model of integrated marketing services, providing a relationship with an agency that we already work closely with in the U.S. on clients such as McDonald’s, State Farm and, most recently, Exxon Mobil,” said Ken Kaess, President-CEO of DDB Worldwide Communications Group Inc. “In addition, del Rivero Messianu gives our newly formed DDB Latin America headquarters, also based in Miami, a full-service agency that can help coordinate work for Latin American clients such as Exxon Mobil and Nortel, among others.”

“We are delighted to officially once again be part of DDB,” said Mr. del Rivero. “The association gives us a strong partner in the U.S. and Latin America and a partner that, like ourselves, places a high value on creativity.”
