MASS Promotions Expands.

In anticipation of its projected expansion in the coming months, Miami-based MASS Promotions, Inc. announced three new
executive appointments. They are: James Teaff as Director of Business Development, Richard Velez as Director of Interactive Services, and Juan Carlos Llera as Creative Director.

Teaff, a former Product Manager with Unilever-Bestfoods, will be responsible for MASS’ new business strategy. He holds dual Bachelor degrees in Political Science and History from the University of Texas and an MBA in International Finance and Marketing from Loyola University. Born and raised in Venezuela, he began his career as an intern with Procter & Gamble’s international program before joining Bestfoods. There, among other things, he managed the Knorr, Maizena, Iberia and Lizano brands.

Velez, whose prior experience includes 11 years as a Lead Project Systems Engineer for Racal-Datacom, will be in charge of developing interactive projects, internally and for clients. He also will integrate MASS’ strategic team. Holder of a US patent, Velez earned a BS in Computer and Systems Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. For the past
six years he worked as a Sales Engineer and Account Executive for Colinsco, a manufacturer’s rep firm, specializing in network management and e-business software and systems, as well as consulting services, for Fortune 1000 clients. He is a New York City native.

Llera, a former Graphic Design Director for Spanish-language Telemundo Network, will provide creative direction to several MASS clients. He is a graduate of the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, where he majored in Advertising Design. Born in Cuba and raised in Miami, he began his career as a medical illustrator for Miami Beach’s Mount Sinai Medical Center, and
later also was Creative Director for two Northern Virginia graphic design companies. Llera is also an accomplished fine artist with numerous one-man and group exhibits to his name.
