Di Ann Sanchez – VP Diversity & Talent Management @ American Airlines.

American Airlines announced that Di Ann Sanchez will be joining its management team as vice president – Diversity and Talent Management with the airline’s Human Resources organization.

Sanchez and her team will focus on recruiting, compensating, training, developing and retaining top talent within American; actively advancing diversity and positive workplace environment initiatives; and promoting American’s FlagShip University as one of the top corporate universities for leadership development.

Bringing 18 years of experience to her new position, Sanchez joins American from the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, where she headed the Human Resources department responsible for more than 90,000 employees. She has also held top Human Resources management positions within Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad and Delta Technology, a subsidiary of Delta Air Lines.

In 2000, Sanchez’s Human Resources group at Delta Technology won Atlanta’s Society of Human Resource Management HR Professional Excellence Award. This year she was named by Hispanic Business magazine as one of the “Top 50 Hispanic Women in Business.”
