Romero – Appointed To Bank of America Board Of Directors.

Edward L. Romero, a former U.S. ambassador to Spain, was appointed to the Bank of America Corporation (NYSE: BAC) board of directors. His appointment is effective July 23.

Romero is a former U.S. ambassador to Spain under President Bill Clinton. He has served on the President’s U.S. Hispanic Advisory Committee and on the board of directors of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute and the National Hispanic Cultural Center. He also has been a member of the U.S. Trade Representative’s Services Policy Advisory Committee and has led a number of U.S. trade delegations to Mexico.

Romero was founder, chairman and chief executive officer of Advanced Sciences, Inc., an international environmental engineering and waste management company. His company merged with Commodore Applied Technologies in 1998. He also founded and serves on the board of directors of Valor Telecommunications Southwest LLC and RTM International, a Spanish company.
