NJAMA Panel Discussion On Effective Multicultural Marketing.

The New Jersey American Marketing Association (NJAMA) will host an informative Panel Discussion on “Effective Marketing to a Multicultural Community” on May 20, 2002 at The Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, New Jersey. Marketing to specific cultures can be difficult at best, but effective development and marketing of culturally targeted products can provide incredible benefits. The Panel Discussion on Marketing to a Multicultural Community will begin shortly thereafter at 7:30 PM.

A featured Panelist is Sheila Thorne, President of the Multicultural Healthcare Marketing Group; Torre Lazur McCann Healthcare Worldwide. Thorne states: “Census 2000 serves as a wake-up call to businesses.

America’s “minorities” are no longer that-the multicultural market is now an emerging majority. No industry can afford to ignore any facet of this diverse population.”

The panel will consist of professionals who will speak on their individual experiences and discuss the do’s and don’ts of multicultural marketing. They will discuss the importance of multicultural marketing and issues involved with this complex topic. Methods of product development, market analysis and development of an effective multicultural marketing plan will also be discussed. Lastly, the panel will discuss the future of multicultural marketing.
