Univ. of Incarnate Word TV Campaign By Bromley Brings International Advertising Award To USA.

The University of Incarnate Word (UIW) was honored by the 16th Annual London International Advertising Awards for its TV ad produced for the marketing campaign for undergraduate programs.

The London International Advertising Awards (LIAA) is the world’s fastest growing competition of its kind, where there is only one winner per category. LIAA has become synonymous with international excellence in advertising.

“We were the first university to do television ads and that set a line on university ads. We strive to communicate why we are different in our marketing messages,” says Dr. Louis Agnese, president of UIW. “For the last six years our strategies have been directed to offering world class education, and we want to convey this to our prospective students.” Last year UIW opened a university program in China and according to Dr. Agnese, this award contributes to their path towards globalization. “We want the community to know who we are, what we believe in, and the opportunities UIW offers. If our communication is recognized on the international stage, we must be on a good road.”

The winning TV commercials were created by San Antonio-based Bromley Communications, a member of the Bcom3 Group of Companies, one of the world’s largest providers of communication services. The agency has already received an ADDY’s Award hosted by the American Advertising Federation of San Antonio (ADFED) for local broadcast of the UIW spot and Best of Show for Broadcast for this youth-oriented local campaign produced for the UIW.

According to Kim Bunch, executive producer for Bromley Communications, the communication strategy was centered on consumer insights. “From our research of the target audience’s mindset and the relationship with the university, we chose to highlight the advantages of UIW such as smaller class sizes which facilitate greater educational interaction between students and faculty that is difficult for larger universities”.
