Lerner named Editorial Director for HuffPost Voces.

The Huffington Post Media Group (HPMG) announced that Gabriel Lerner, Senior News Editor, HuffPost Voces and Latino Voices, has been promoted to Editorial Director for HuffPost Voces.

“In this newly created position, Gabriel will lead the editorial direction of HuffPost Voces, reaffirming our commitment to original journalism and community engagement as defining characteristics of the site,” said Miguel Ferrer, Managing Editor of HuffPost Black Voices, Latino Voices, and Voces. “For too long, Spanish-speaking U.S. Hispanics have been subjected to homogenous points of view and news coverage. Gabriel is committed to engaging the diversity of thought and experiences among today’s Latinos.”

“HuffPost Voces is a dynamic and continually evolving news site,” said Lerner. “My principal objective will be to bring together a top-notch team of editors and reporters to cover all aspects of the Hispanic experience who represent the very best and the most relevant voices in the Latino community.”

Based in Los Angeles, Lerner will continue to report to Miguel Ferrer, Managing Editor, HuffPost Black Voices, Latino Voices, and Voces, and will take on an expanded role in sales-related efforts.
