CreatAbility Gives UF Students Crash Course In Agency Operations.

CreatAbility in Miami hosted 12 students from the University of Florida’s Advertising Society, as part of the agency’s mentoring program on Friday, April 13.

Visiting students had the opportunity to learn from CreatAbility’s experienced account service personnel, public relations professionals and creative team, the ins and outs of working at an agency.

“It’s always a treat to share with students some of the insights learned over the years,” said Henry Gomez, CreatAbility’s Planning Director, himself a UF alumnus. “We’re committed to helping others get their start in this very competitive field.”

This is the second in a series of mentoring days at the agency. In February, CreatAbility hosted a group of students from Sunset Elementary’s Emotional Handicap Cluster and Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater Miami to help kick-off Groundhog Shadow Day. This summer the agency is offering college students a variety of internship possibilities to help guide and prepare them for today’s job market.

CreatAbility’s charitable foundation, The Piggy Bank Fund®, has also been a vehicle for contributing to the community by supporting children and young adults. CreatAbility has donated over $600,000 in pro bono hours to community service and socially responsible projects in the last year.

“There’s really no equivalent for real world exposure and a support network; it’s part of what education is all about,” said Sussy Vasquez, who organized the Miami trip for UF’s Ad Society and is also a student there.
