LATINA Style Business Series In Charlotte.

LATINA Style Magazine with the participation of the U.S. Small Business Administration, will host for the first time the 2004 LATINA Style Business Series in Charlotte on August 20, 2004. This year’s events are especially important as 2004 marks the 10th year anniversary of the magazine. The Business Series is a unique one-day business development conference that seeks to empower Latina professionals and business owners by bringing them together with key corporations and agencies providing goods, services and essential information most needed by today’s entrepreneur.

The event, which will be hosted at the Omni Charlotte Hotel (132 East Trade Street), includes exhibits and expert presenters from the following sponsors: Bank of America, Citibank, State Farm Insurance, and WAL-MART. We also have the support of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Honorable Mayor Patrick McCrory will be addressing the audience, as will our Mistress of Ceremony, Ms. Janelle Martinez, Anchor, NBC6.

“Latina entrepreneurs are continuing to grow in numbers and their successes are having a significant impact on strengthening our local communities,” says Natalie Abatemarco, Citigroup’s Director of National Community Relations Programs. “At Citigroup, we are committed to helping Latinas succeed and look forward to sharing our financial expertise in addressing both their business and personal financial needs at the New York Business Series.”

“The emergence of the Latina entrepreneur as a catalyst for prosperity is a welcome change in our community. Latinas are starting and succeeding in business all across the country,” says Robert E. Bard, president of LATINA Style Magazine. “Latinas are outpacing all other business startups three to one.”
