FCC Ready To Approve Univision/HBC Merger.

It is speculated that the commission appears all but set to green-light Univision’s $2.4 billion merger with Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. before the end of the month, according to Radio and Records.

The merger’s approval would come down to a party-line, 3-2 vote — just as the FCC’s June 2 vote on new media ownership regulations played out.
