AOL Latin America & The San Juan Star Newspaper Announce Content Agreement In Puerto Rico.

America Online Latin America, Inc. announced an exclusive online content agreement with The San Juan Star Company, publisher of the Pulitzer Prize winning San Juan Star, the only newspaper published in both English and Spanish on the Island.

America Online Puerto Rico will be the exclusive online home for English and Spanish content from key San Juan Star Company publications including: The San Juan Star and its Spanish language counterpart, El San Juan Star; the daily regional newspapers El Mayaguez Star, El Ponce Star, and El Arecibo Star; the lifestyle magazine, San Juan City; the student newspaper Star Quest; and the only afternoon newspaper in Puerto Rico, El Star Extra.

The San Juan Star Company will serve as the premier news content provider on America Online Puerto Rico’s News Channel, and content from El San Juan Star will be available through AOL Keywords: San Juan Star, The San Juan Star, and El San Juan Star. America Online Puerto Rico also plans to make available news and information from additional San Juan Star Company publications through separate AOL Keywords. Additionally, the agreement offers AOL members in Puerto Rico the chance to discuss, debate and speak out on a wide variety of issues, including international current events, local news and community issues, through dynamic interactive features such as online polls and message boards.
