The Hispanic Public Relations Association announces 2013 National Board of Directors.

The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) announced its 2013 National Board of Directors and officers representing key U.S. markets with David Henry of Telenoticias in New York taking the helm as President.

HPRA serves as the association of Hispanic public relations practitioners with local chapters in Los Angeles, New York and Washington D.C.. The organization is poised to continue its chapter expansion in areas such as South Florida and Chicago.

“It’s an exciting time to be part of HPRA as we’ve seen continued growth of the organization over the past several years,” Henry said. “Our plans include continued growth with the addition of new chapters and development of strong affiliations and partnerships that will bring new paths of professional development for our members.”

HPRA 2013 National Officers serving a one-year term include: President, David Henry of Telenoticias in New York; Vice President/President-Elect, Stephen Chavez of Chavez Marketing & Communications in Los Angeles; Treasurer, Mario Flores of Sportivo PR in Los Angeles; Secretary, Delia Lopez a Communications Consultant in Los Angeles; and Vice President of Programs Lourdes Rodriguez of VPE Public Relations in South Pasadena.

The 2013 Board of Directors include: Melissa Smith of RL Public Relations in New York; Daisy Cabrera, Communications Consultant and Media Trainer in Miami; Carlos Correcha of Edelman in Washington, D.C.;  Antonio Hernandez of Antonio David Public Relations in Chicago; Lucia Matthews of Diálogo Public Relations in San Diego; and Veronica Potes of Univision Communications in New York.

Oralia Michel of Omagen PR in Los Angeles will serve as Founding President.
