Aztlan Fest 2002.

Aztec Entertainment prepares for Aztlan Fest 2002, which sets to roll out a truly explosive line-up of uncompromising talent. The Aztlan Fest has propelled itself onto the urban music scene as one of the freshest and original festivals around, by uniting an unique amalgam of musical genres such as rock, metal, punk, alternative, ska, reggae, hip-hop and more in an all day festival ambiance. The festival will provide the opportunity to see some of the top and up and coming Chicano talent from throughout the U.S.

The Aztlan Fest Tour will kick off in June 2002 and make stops in Los Angeles, San Jose, San Diego and for the first time in Texas. In Los Angeles, the festival will present over 40 artists on 3 Stages as it did in 2001 — making it the largest Chicano rock fest in the country.

Festival organizer Aztec Entertainment President, Mario Cobián comments on the range of bands and mission, “Our goal is to promote the often overlooked Chicano rock and rap genres. In doing so we’ve created one of the most unique festivals in the country — reaching young and informed Bilingual and Bicultural Chicano audiences.”
