Sneak-Peek At All-New Latin College Comedy Tour For Spring 2002.

ZILO Networks Inc., a integrated multi-platform entertainment network (Live Events, Television and Online) targeting the college market, announced the highly-successful nationwide “Off the Hook Comedy Tour” – sponsored by General Motors and Motorola in association with Wrigley’s Doublemint – is ending with a BANG! at Florida International University in Miami, Florida on December 6, 2001. The show features Zilo’s up-and-coming talent along with the unique flavor of hot new Latin comedy tour “Off The Hook Latin Style,” targeting 10-college campuses with large Latin populations in Spring 2002.

Zilo’s “Off The Hook Comedy Tour” traveled to 20 Historically Black Colleges and Universities and large schools in urban areas in Fall 2001 with sold out shows across the country. They featured comedians Shang, known for performances on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” NBC’s “Comedy Showcase,” and VH-1’s “The List”; funnyman Todd Lynn, who has entertained audiences on BET’s “Comic View,” HBO’s “Russell Simmons Def Comedy Jam” and Comedy Central; and Tony Woods, whose own half-hour
comedy special premiered in September 2001 on Comedy Central.

“The Off The Hook Comedy Tour’s success once again demonstrates Zilo’s ability to create dynamic original programming that gets college students’ attention and leaves them cheering and asking for more,” said Zilo CEO David Isaacs. “Combining that passion with the reach of Zilo’s campus television and online properties is why top sponsors continue to choose Zilo as their college media partner.”

The Miami finale show will wrap-up the highly successful Fall 2001 “Off The Hook Tour” and will also introduce some of the performers in Zilo’s Spring 2002 “Off The Hook Latin Style.” Comic newcomers Ruperto Vanderpool, known for break-out performances on BET’s “Comic View” and at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles and Angelo Lozada, who has brought the house down at venues such as Stand Up New York and Caroline’s Comedy Club, will join forces with returning comedians Shang and Todd Lynn at Florida International University to get the audience pumped and showcase Zilo’s two premiere Spring 2002 comedy tours.

“This Fall’s African-American programming really paved the way for delivering the kind of entertainment that reaches students from diverse backgrounds,” said Zilo President and Creative Director Campbell McLaren.” “Now, we’re taking that successful formula and applying it to Latin students by giving them a show to call their own.”

The tour schedule for Zilo’s “Off The Hook Latin Style” will be announced in January 2002.
