Over a century ago, Coca-Cola was introduced in Atlanta by pharmacist John Pemberton. Since then the brand has quenched America’s thirst with memorable, emotionally driven advertising.

The history of Coca-Cola’s advertising is nearly as long as its history as a company. This paper follows that history and how radio played a role from the early days on variety programming to 2010’s FIFA “Wavin’ Flag” campaign.
