Socker Slam’s Extreme @ Galavision.

The World Championship Socker League (WCSL) has given the green light for its controversial, action-packed show, Socker Slam to air on Galavision.

“It’s a great fit,” says WCSL Commissioner Terry Rich, “The Latino market loves soccer and professional wrestling and we’ve found a way to meld both into an exciting new sport.”

However, the game’s appeal is not limited to the Latino market, as the broadcast is done in part English and part Spanish and should find fans among anyone who enjoys sports entertainment, soccer, wrestling and operatic theater to name a few. Socker Slam is a fast-moving, full-contact, high-scoring soccer match and Galavision will televise two special matches April 13th and 20th at 7 p.m. ET.

Viewers will have the opportunity to see WCSL teams, the NY Bruisers, the LA Surf, the Miami Storm and the Toronto Loons go at it on two separate occasions. First up airing April 13, it’s the reigning champions The NY Bruisers taking on the muy caliente, Miami Storm. Renowned international sports journalist, Keyvan Antonio and Latin comedic sensation George “O” provide all the play-by-play action both on and off the field. Expect them to be in the thick of it all as situations arise and perhaps add fuel to the flame. The second game, airing April 20 finds the self-described “Animal House” of the league, The Toronto Loons vs their laid back West Coast rivals, The LA Surf.
