Cingular Interactive’s Subscriber Count Eclipses 570,000.

Cingular Interactive, formerly BellSouth Wireless Data, closed the year 2000 with over 570,000 subscribers on its nationwide Cingular Interactive Intelligent Wireless Network. The year-end subscriber figure represents growth of over 100% from last year’s total of just over 200,000.

During 2000, the company added an average of 90,000 net subscribers per quarter. The number includes subscribers to the industry-leading services and solutions under MyBiz Interactive, Palm.Net subscribers using the PalmVII connected organizer, Fidelity InstantBroker customers, AOL Mobile Communicator(SM) subscribers and RIM BlackBerry wireless e-mail solution users. The company also ended the year with over 7,500 customers, including over 170 of the Fortune 1000 companies.
