Meyer named SVP Enterprise Developement at Univision.

Univision Communications Inc. announced the promotion of Ignacio Meyer to the position of senior vice president, Enterprise Development. Meyer previously served as vice president, Business Development. In this new role, Meyer will continue to lead the Experiential Marketing unit within Univision Enterprises, and also direct the development and building of brand extensions and business opportunities for clients and partners. He will continue to be based in Miami and report to Rick Alessandri, executive vice president, Enterprise Development.

Meyer has been instrumental in maximizing the company’s major special event franchises.  He played an integral role in helping land Univision’s first-ever presenting sponsorship by T-Mobile of the “Premios Lo Nuestro” Latin Music Awards. He also helped launch AutoAmigo.
 
Meyer has over 15 years of experience in establishing new lines of business and marketing campaigns. Prior to Univision, he served as CEO at Wireless Latin Entertainment, a mobile value-added entertainment services provider and digital consulting company. Prior he was a managing partner at KONEXXION Enterprises, a boutique agency dedicated to bridging the gap between sports and entertainment assets and media companies. There, he developed sponsorship programs and brand extensions for the Latin Recording Academy, Heineken, Cingular Wireless, Corona and Verizon Wireless, among others. Meyer also served as a consultant to Univision in the strategic development of brand licensing and product integration initiatives. Prior to these roles, he served as the director of Business Development at the Latin Recording Academy, director of Communications and Marketing at IFPI Latin America, and director of Business Development and Marketing at eRitmo.com.
