Schwarz named VP of Univision Cable Networks.

Cristina Schwarz will take on the role of vice president of Univision Cable Networks effective immediately.

Cristina will remain based in Miami and will report to Cesar Conde, president of Univision Networks. In this role, Cristina will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for Univision’s suite of Spanish-language entertainment and news cable offerings – Galavisión, De Película, De Película Clásico, Bandamax, Ritmoson, Telehit, Distrito Comedia and ForoTV. She will continue to be accountable to Alberto Ciurana and will work closely Univision’s Distribution, Advertising Sales, Local Television and Radio teams to help further position the company’s growing portfolio.
 
Cristina was previously the vice president of Programming and Production for Univision Cable Networks. Before Univision, she operated her own company, CSLR, Ltd., a consultancy for international media companies. She also previously served as vice president and general manager for three New York television stations within the Univision Television Group; led sales teams for Univision and Telemundo networks; and worked in advertising for the Bravo Group and Caballero Spanish Radio Network.
