Univision Atlanta wins 10 Emmys.

Univision Atlanta was recognized by the Southeast Regional Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) with ten EMMY Awards for excellence in television. Amanda Ramirez, WUVG Univision 34 nightly news anchor, took home the award for Best News Anchor (tied alongside two other local journalists.) The Southeast Regional Chapter of NATAS bestowed the 2013 EMMY® Awards this past Saturday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Buckhead.

“This industry leading recognition awarded to our team exemplifies continued excellence in our work here at Univision 34,” said Luis Fernandez-Rocha, senior vice president and regional director, Univision 34 Atlanta. “We are deeply honored by these awards and proud of the entire Univision 34 team for their dedication and commitment to the station and the local Hispanic community in Atlanta.”

Ramirez added, “I’m honored to be recognized for such a prestigious award. Our team works tirelessly to bring our audience a quality product that informs and empowers our loyal viewers. “
