mun2 announce the U.S. television premiere of the Latin American hit series, "Esta Sociedad" (This Society). The provocative series will be subtitled in English and will air exclusively within the network's weeknight prime time programming starting Thursday September 10th at 10pmET/PT and airing Thursdays at 10PM ET/PT. Episodes of "Esta Sociedad" will repeat Tuesdays at 8pm ET/PT.
"Esta Sociedad" was a huge success, particularly among young adults 18-34 ? mun2's target audience. Touching on issues that affect youth such as sexuality, addiction and simply fitting in, this stylized series reveals the universe of two families living in Lima, Peru. The series features Jason Day ("Mancora" 2008) and Gisela Ponce de Leon who plays the role of the new girl in town unafraid to speak her mind and follow her heart in spite of her move to an unfamiliar society where the wealthy and the privileged rule.
"This acquisition will be a great fit for mun2's slate of original programming as we've seen our audience asking for more of this edgy, scripted material," says Flavio Morales, VP, Programming for mun2.
