Torres named Deputy Editor at Siempre Mujer

Meredith Corporation announced that Jessica Torres has been promoted to Deputy Editor of Siempre Mujer effective immediately. In this role, Torres will work with Siempre Mujer’s Editor-in-Chief María Cristina Marrero to direct the brand’s content and design on all platforms, and increase the brand’s visibility and relevance among today’s young Latinas. She will report to directly to Marrero.
 
Most recently, Torres served as Siempre Mujer’s Beauty and Lifestyle Editor, overseeing the magazine’s beauty and home content, identifying top trends, and curating gift guides. Torres first joined Siempre Mujer in 2006 as an Editorial Assistant in the beauty and fashion department. In that role, she styled fashion stories and developed a passion for writing about beauty. Torres’s affinity for all things style, home décor and entertaining led to her promotion as a writer for Siempre Mujer’s Home section in 2009.
 
“Jessica has been a part of Siempre Mujer for nearly a decade and has been instrumental to building the brand’s top-notch beauty and lifestyle content, in both print and online, into a must-read resource for Latinas,” says Marrero. “We feel confident that Jessica’s success will translate into her new position as Deputy Editor.”
 
Prior to Siempre Mujer, Torres also held positions at Parents and Ser Padres magazines.
