Television Dominicana has exclusive rights to air the Dominican Professional Baseball League 2015 Finals between Las Estrellas de Oriente and Los Gigantes del Cibao. The Finals, which are in a best of nine format, began on Saturday, January 17, and will air through next Monday, January 26, depending on the outcome of the upcoming games. Currently, Las Estrellas de Oriente are in control with a 2-1 series lead.
The Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM, for its Spanish acronym), has a storied reputation for attracting top Major League talent, with this series being no exception. Las Estrellas de Oriente are led by six time MLB All Star and World Series Champion Robinson Cano of the Seattle Mariners. The Final Series also features notable Major League talent such as Jean Segura of the Milwaukee Brewers and prized prospect Maikel Franco of the Philadelphia Phillies.
