Azteca America strengthens Management and Sales Teams

Azteca America announced four new additions to its executive roster. Gary Pacheco joins the network as Station Manager of WMBC-Azteca New York, Erin Cook joins as Vice President of Network and National Spot Sales in Dallas, Joe Jaime joins the Chicago office as Vice President of Network and Spot Sales – Midwest, and Thomas Andre joins as an Account Manager in the Glendale, Calif. office.
 
Gary Pacheco is a Senior Sales and Marketing Manager who has demonstrated expertise and achievement in the NY Hispanic Market. He was recently self-employed at his own Sales and Marketing company, where he consulted with various media companies. From 2003 to 2010 he was General Sales Manager for Univision Radio’s NY Cluster of Stations, and General Sales Manager at Radio Unica-NY from 1999 to 2003. Pacheco has also worked on the agency side of the business, working at Euro RSCG, CreatAbility and Siboney Advertising. Pacheco studied Communications at City College of NY and resides in Hackensack, NJ with his family.
 
Erin Cook is known for her industry knowledge and exceptional client service skills. Her experience is vast and includes six years as Media Supervisor at SpotPlus, where she oversaw media placement for accounts such as Pizza Hut and Pepsi across multiple markets. Her most current role was Account Executive for Liberman Broadcasting, supervising Network Sales, as well as National Spot TV and Radio for the Dallas office. Cook has previously worked for KAZD, under UVM broadcasting’s ownership, where she served as the Director of Sales for its 27 television properties.
 
Joe Jaimemost recently served as National Sales Manager at WFLD/WPWR – The FOX duopoly in Chicago. Before that he was National Sales Manager and Local Sales Manager at KXTX – Telemundo in Dallas. Joe was previously Account Manager – National Sales for NBC/Telemundo in Dallas and Account Executive at WSNS – Telemundo Chicago. He began his career in Chicago as a Media Services Representative at Target and Response and later moved to Kelly, Scott and Madison where he was a media buyer.
 
Thomas Andre will provide pre- and post-sales support to the Online Ad Sales team to help service Azteca’s growing advertising sales business. Andre has eight years of ad sales experience across mobile, digital, TV and live events, at companies like Sony Pictures, Turner Broadcasting, and MobileFuse. He also has experience producing music and food festivals in Brazil and Colombia. Andre has a bachelor’s degree in History from Princeton University and speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
