Deschapelles named President and GM of Telemundo Phoenix

The Telemundo Station Group announced that Andrew Deschapelles has been named President and General Manager of Telemundo Phoenix / KTAZ and Telemundo Tucson / KHRR,  the local Telemundo stations owned by NBCUniversal in Arizona. In this role, Deschapelles will oversee all operations of both stations including: news, sales, marketing and promotions, technology, digital and community affairs. Deschapelles will report to Manuel Martinez, President, Telemundo Station Group.

I’m excited to see how Andrew will continue to expand the stations’ already strong and positive momentum.”

Deschapelles has more than 25 years of experience in broadcast sales and station management. He joined KTAZ and KHRR in 2015 as Vice President of Sales and was named Interim General Manager for both stations in 2017. Prior to this, he worked at Univision Arizona / KTVW and held various sales roles with increasing responsibilities. Deschapelles began his career at Univision Communications as a Regional Account Manager in 1991. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
