MTV Latin America begins production on Acapulco Shores

First it was Jersey Shore, then Geordie Shore, Warsaw Shore and Gandía Shore, now the Shores franchise is hitting Latin America. MTV Latin America has started production on a brand new reality series entitled Acapulco Shore.  Produced exclusively in Mexico, the series will be filmed in and around the city of Acapulco, capturing the staple moments of the franchise including over-the-top arguments, undefined love triangles and outrageous antics in the sun-kissed city. Acapulco Shore is scheduled to debut in September 2014.
 
“Drama, friendship and partying – the hallmarks of the MTV franchise are all encapsulated in Acapulco Shore,” said Maria Iregui, Brand Manager of MTV Latin America. “We’re confident our Latin take on the format will entertain and intrigue MTV viewers in the same way as its predecessors all over the world.”
 
Under the creative oversight of Iregui and Federico Cuervo, SVP of Production for Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) Latin America, the series is Executive Produced by Jose Viggiano, Sr. Director of Production for VIMN Latin America, and Produced by Luis Lopez, Supervising Producer for VIMN Mexico. Acapulco Shore is also produced by Brixton Films.
