Univision Communications Inc. announced plans to launch PrendeTV, the only streaming service created exclusively for the U.S. Hispanic audience featuring free, premium 100% Spanish-language programming. Set to debut in the first quarter, PrendeTV will feature unlimited premium and exclusive content ever curated for U.S. Hispanic consumers, including a collection of high-quality, curated Spanish-language series, movies and more featuring the biggest celebrities in the world.

PrendeTV will give viewers more options and access to a broader range of genres, from Hollywood blockbusters and acclaimed global television series, novelas, comedies, classic sports, documentaries, lifestyle shows and children’s programming, to Univision and Televisa's exclusive robust libraries of beloved, fan-favorite programming.
 
“PrendeTV is an important, early step in Univision’s broader efforts to build the same leadership position we have in Spanish-language TV, in the emerging Spanish-language streaming space,” said Univision CEO Wade Davis. “The announcement of PrendeTV within two weeks of closing our acquisition of Univision underscores our focus and commitment to rapidly driving the transformation and growth of the company. PrendeTV is unlike anything our audience has access to today and will completely change the landscape for video streaming in Spanish-language media in the United States.”
