Univision KMEX-TV in LA awarded 2015 Edward R. Murrow Award

KMEX Univision 34 Los Angeles has been awarded the prestigious Edward R. Murrow Award by the Radio Television Digital News Association for its 6 p.m. newscast – Noticias 34 a las 6 p.m. KMEX Univision 34 was the only TV station in Los Angeles among the regional winners, which includes California, Guam, Hawaii and Nevada markets. All regional winners will advance to the national competition.

We are extremely proud of our news team whose integrity and passion are reflected in all their work every day,” said Marco Flores, news director/regional director West Coast. “It is an honor to be recognized by the Radio Television Digital News Association for our efforts to offer our community content that is relevant and important to them.”
 
The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of electronic journalism.
