Job Description: 

One of the fastest-growing, independent ad shops seeks a strong and savvy Senior Media Buyer who knows how to multitask in today’s rapidly changing media landscape. The candidate must convey a high level of energy, be an astute negotiator, and non-conformist determination to resist old ways. You can be a collaborator in imagination at The New American Agency™ as we lead in identifying breakthrough media opportunities for our clients.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Negotiate and implement spot television and radio buys for national spot accounts
  • Represent clients and agency to the media community in a consistently respectful and professional manner
  • Communicate with media representatives on behalf of d expósito & Partners’ clients to negotiate the best placement, highest value-add, and optimal use of budgeted funds
  • Improve and maintain positive relations with media representatives
  • Project accurate delivery, rating and share estimates
  • Regularly solicit and evaluate value-added opportunities for clients
  • Identify best innovated sponsorship and integration ideas during the negotiations process
  • Stay updated on marketplace conditions, price fluctuations and changes in viewing patterns
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of post analysis
  • Implement plan and maintain budget control throughout entire process
  • Be highly organized, responsible and effectively manage all the details associated with media campaigns
  • Ability to multitask and manage media campaigns across 20+ local markets
  • Adapt to changes in workload and working conditions without loss of productivity
  • Has a sense of urgency to obtain results and meet deadlines
  • Set priorities and manage time well
  • Work with software programs such as Strata/SBMS, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledgeable with industry and media research such as Nielsen
  • Supervise stewardship and the day-to-day of accounts to ensure flawless delivery/posts
  • Train and supervise media buyers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree is required
  • At least 3 years of local television and radio buying and implementation experience  
  • Experience in buying broadcast against General Market
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and charting
  • Excellent media buying negotiations skills
  • Attention to detail and time management to deliver high quality work for multiple projects across several client engagements while meeting deadlines
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • AdHoc and Eleven experience is a plus
