ESPN Deportes presents 2016 Caribbean Series with Home Run Derby

ESPN Deportes will offer exclusive live coverage across all platforms of the 2016 Caribbean Series from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, starting on Monday, February 1 at 1:50 p.m. ET with Puerto Rico vs. Venezuela, followed by Mexico vs. Leones del Escogido (Dominican Republic) at 6:50 p.m. on TV and Radio. The televised transmission includes the Opening Ceremony at 6 p.m. ET.
 
The network’s coverage of the Series includes extensive analysis across television, radio and digital platforms, in addition to the latest news stories and highlights on ESPNDeportes.com. ESPN Deportes’ baseball experts Ernesto Jerez, Luis Alfredo Alvarez, Ozzie Guillen, Guillermo Celis, Jorge Eduardo Sanchez will be onsite to cover the week-long event with Carolina Guillen and Eitan Benezra, serving as on field reporters for the games.
 
In addition, ESPN Deportes brings baseball fans the Caribbean Series Home Run Derby on Wednesday, February 3 at 6 p.m. The Derby, featuring top players David Ortiz, Robinson Cano, Miguel Cabrera, Alfredo Despaigne and Vlad Guerrero, starts with a first round of swings of five minutes per player, then the top two advance for a final round of five minutes each to select the 2016 winner.
 
This year, the 13 scheduled games will be held at Quisqueya Stadium in the Dominican capital. The Series will come to an end on Sunday, February 7, at 2:30 p.m. ET with the live transmission of the Final game on ESPNews and at 2:50 p.m. on ESPN Deportes Radio and ESPN Deportes+.
