Telemundo Denver, KNRV are Broncos’ new Spanish-language broadcast partners

The Denver Broncos announced that Telemundo Denver (KDEN) and KNRV Radio (1150 AM) are the team’s new Spanish-language broadcast partners.

“We are thrilled with the opportunity to connect with our Spanish-language viewers and listeners in Broncos Country,” Broncos Vice President of Corporate Partnerships Brady Kellogg said. “Telemundo and KNRV were selected because they share our enthusiasm to continue expanding our Spanish-language content and coverage.”

Programming for Telemundo Denver (KDEN) will include “Tiempo Extra con Los Broncos” (Extra Time with the Broncos), a 30-minute live, local television show beginning Sunday, Aug. 14, and running through Sunday, Jan. 1. The show, which will be the first-ever Broncos live broadcast in Spanish, will recap game highlights for all preseason and regular-season games.

Also featured on Telemundo Denver will be “Cabalgando con Los Broncos” (Galloping with the Broncos), a weekly sports segment sponsored by Bud Light and hosted by sport anchor Erasmo Provenza. The show will air Thursdays during the station’s early (4-5:30 p.m.) and late (10-10:35 p.m.) local newscasts beginning on Aug. 11, and running through the end of the season.

“We are extremely excited about this unique partnership with the Broncos organization,” Telemundo Denver’s General Manager Andres Chaparro said. “The live broadcast of our ‘Tiempo Extra con Los Broncos’ show reinforces our station’s commitment to producing the most up-to-date programming and information for our viewers.”

KNRV (1150 AM), the new Spanish radio home of the Broncos, will broadcast all home and away games. Javier Olivas, who has provided color commentary for the Broncos Spanish radio broadcasts for the past five years, will serve as KNRV’s play-by-play announcer. Carlos Valdez will provide color commentary, and for the first time, the Broncos Spanish radio broadcast will feature a sideline reporter, Hector Salazar, who will deliver sideline updates, injury reports and postgame interviews.

“We are very excited about this new partnership,” KNRV Station Manager Salvador Hernandez said. “We expect that the collaboration will allow our listeners to connect even more to the World Champion Denver Broncos.”
