Dolores Kunda – Hispanic Business 80 ‘Elite Hispanic Women’.

Dolores Kunda, president of Lápiz, a Hispanic integrated marketing unit of Bcom3 Group’s Pangea, has been included on the “80 Elite Hispanic Women” list by Hispanic Business magazine.

Kunda is the only representative from the advertising industry on this year’s list, which includes 50 high-ranking executives from such businesses as McDonald’s, American Airlines, MTV Networks, Schering-Plough, Bank of America, IBM and Kraft Foods; as well as 17 women from such government agencies as the departments of Defense and Agriculture; and 13 from academia.

Kunda joined Leo Burnett in 1984 as a client service trainee, eventually working her way to president of Leo Burnett’s Hispanic Unit, now known as Lápiz. By overseeing award-winning work for such clients as The Coca-Cola Company, Kellogg, Toys R’ Us, and Disney, Kunda has helped build Lápiz into one of the nation’s leading Hispanic advertising agencies, with $130 million in 2001 billings.

In including Kunda, the magazine said, “Her advertising career spans work in the general, international, and U.S. Hispanic markets, leading award-winning teams for Kraft, McDonald’s, and Procter & Gamble.”
