Hector Barreto who has been nominated by President
George W. Bush to head the Small Business Administration.

In 1986, Barreto founded Barreto Insurance & Financial Services Inc., a Los Angeles-based employee benefits firm that generates an estimated $3 million in revenue. He also founded a second business, a securities broker-dealer specializing in retirement planning called Telacu/Barreto Financial Services Inc., one of the first Latino businesses of its kind.

Mr. Barreto was co-chairman of the Bush campaign in California. Last year, Mr. Barreto was elected vice chair of the Board of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the largest Latino business organization in the country representing 1.5 million Latino businesses and founded by his father.
