Alimonti named Publisher of U.S. Selecciones.

Elaine Alimonti has been named Publisher of Selecciones, it was announced by Eva Dillon, President, RD Inspiration, The Reader’s Digest Association, Inc. (RDA). Alimonti assumes this role from her current position with Reader’s Digest, where she has been Associate Publisher since July 2007.

“Elaine brings strong leadership qualities and a proven track record of sales and marketing successes to her new role,” said Dillon. “Selecciones readers have demonstrated extreme loyalty to the brand. The U.S. Hispanic population is currently the fastest-growing minority group in the country, and with Elaine at the helm we look forward to strengthening our position
serving this vital community.”

Prior to Reader’s Digest, Alimonti was the Associate Publisher of Cookie, a position she held since the magazine’s launch by Conde Nast in 2005. Before that, she spent seven years as Associate Publisher at the New York Observer. She was also Advertising Director at SPY, and worked in sales at AdWeek.

Elaine Alimonti succeeds Elizabeth Bradley, who is leaving to pursue other interests after six years with the magazine.
