Help For Latina Magazine @ Newsstand Sales & Marketing.

Latina magazine has contracted with Comag Marketing Group LLC (CMG) for total newsstand sales and marketing services through mass market, specialty and direct-to-retail channels, domestically and abroad.

Effective with the July 2002 issue, newsstand marketing for Latina will be assumed by the company that represents such powerhouse women’s titles as Cosmopolitan and Glamour. Commenting on his company’s expertise in the category, Sullivan said, “Perhaps CMG’s greatest strength is placing category-leading, consumer magazines everywhere they need to be ñ and our top sellers in the women’s category are the best examples of this.

With Hispanics the fastest-growing ethnic group in the United States, now representing 12.6% of the population, we think Latina has an enormous capacity for newsstand growth through selectively expanding its exposure at retail. The Latina staff have created a high quality, distinctive magazine for a growing audience. It’s our intention to see that the increasing numbers of potential readers have increasing opportunities to buy copies of Latina.”
