MediaMark Research & Magazine Publisher Promote Electronic Media Kits.

Magazine Publishers of America (MPA) and Mediamark Research Inc. (MRI) have formed a partnership to encourage use of electronic media kits and of the MRI+ electronic media kit information system by planners and publishers. The announcement was made today by Wayne Eadie, Senior Vice President/Research, MPA. The program will provide MRI services and discounts for MPA member publishers while the association promotes and supports the initiative with the industry and its member publishers as described.

“As more companies convert media kits from print to electronic, the timeliness, accuracy and accessibility of those kits is key to their ultimate usability,” said Mr. Eadie. “By embracing this new delivery system for the information we have traditionally provided in a less efficient form, it’s a win-win for all concerned.”

“We’re excited to partner with the MPA on this initiative. It furthers MRI’s goal to help publishers communicate with planners to make magazine planning easier and smarter,” said Bob Warrens, Director, MRI.+.

Mediamark Research and the MRI+ team bring, as resources to the partnership, both experience in putting the media kit information in a database environment (with a system already in place which contains most of the member’s kits) and a long history of supplying audience data and analytical tools to the publishing industry and to advertisers and agencies.
