Murga – MidWest Ad Director @ Latina Magazine.

Latina magazine named David Murga its Midwest advertising director. In this position, he will oversee advertising sales efforts for the Midwest region for the national women’s monthly and will be based out of the company’s Chicago offices.

Previously, Murga was director of marketing at iHispano.com in Chicago, an online career site for Hispanics. In that post, he managed that company’s development strategies, marketing programs and corporate communications initiatives. As part of his duties, he also oversaw the company’s Web site, including online design, content and promotions.

Prior to that, he served as a public relations account executive at Leo Burnett, USA, where he developed and managed public relations initiatives for a number of national clients in a variety of categories, including automotive, household goods and beverages. In particular, he worked closely with companies such as Oldsmobile and Arctic Zone to conceive and implement communications strategies. During his tenure, Murga also collaborated with Lapiz, Burnett’s Hispanic marketing division, to generate Hispanic market strategies for clients such as Coca-Cola.
