Disa Artists Dominate Charts.

Univision Music Group, a division of Univision Communications Inc. announced that Disa Records recording artists have captured the top three spots on the SoundScan Latin Album Sales charts for the week ended September 30, 2001. In addition, Disa kept a stronghold on the Regional Mexican radio charts, maintaining the #1 radio airplay position for 12 consecutive weeks. On July 1, 2001, Univision completed the purchase of a 50% interest in Disa.

According to SoundScan Reports, Disa artist Grupo Bryndis skyrocketed to #1 with “En El Idioma Del Amor” in its debut week on the charts, and their “Historia Musical Romantica,” a greatest hits compilation from Grupo Bryndis’ music career, has maintained top positions on the SoundScan charts for 14 weeks, edging in at #3 for the week ended September 30, 2001. Disa artist Los Angeles Azules is holding steady at #2 with their “Historia Musical,” a 30-song compilation of hits from the group’s career. Disa artist Palomo’s “No Me Conoces Aun” from the album “Fuerza Musical” is currently the #1
Regional Mexican hit song and has maintained the top radio airplay position for 12 consecutive weeks.
