Univision 2011 Premio Lo Nuestros adds talent.

Univision announced the additional stars who are confirmed to appear at this year’s star-studded “Premio Lo Nuestro®” Latin Music Awards. As television’s longest-running and top-rated Latin music awards show, “Premio lo Nuestro” unites the most talented names in the industry for a night that renders tribute to Latin music. Among the additional artists confirmed to take the stage are international superstar Ricky Martin, legendary rock band Maná, singer/songwriter Juanes, Mexican singer Cristian Castro, banda music diva Jenni Rivera, award-winning group Camila, singer/actress Belinda, pop artist Carlos Baute, tropical singer Carolina La O, Venezuelan breakout duo Chino y Nacho, Costa Rican artist Debi Nova, Duranguense music queen Diana Reyes, Puerto Rican reggaetón artists Dyland y Lenny, reggaetón duo Fuego y Omega, regional Mexican music artist Gerardo Ortiz, pop music diva Gloria Trevi, Colombian artist Goyo (from the award-winning group “Chocquibtown”),  tropical music artist Héctor Acosta “El Torito,” award-winning Tejano group Intocable, regional Mexican music heartthrob Larry Hernández, the spectacular acrobatic ensemble of the hit Vegas show “Le Rêve,” tropical music artist Luis Enrique, merengue music queen Olga Tañón, chart-topping reggaetón duo RKM y Ken-Y, reggaetón star Tony Dize, renowned regional Mexican music band Tucanes de Tijuana, and reggaetón superstar duo (“El Duo de la Historia”) Wisin y Yandel.
 
“Premio Lo Nuestro 2011” will be broadcast LIVE and in high definition (HD) from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL, on Thursday, February 17 at 8pm ET/PT (9pm Central) on the Univision Network. The awards show will be preceded by the glitzy red-carpet arrivals pre-show “Noche de Estrellas” to air at 7pm ET/PT (6pm Central).
 
Also joining the show will be novela stars Guy Ecker, Blanca Soto, Julian Gil, Vanessa Villela, Ninel Conde, Adamari López and Rodrigo Lombardi; as well as Hollywood actress Roselyn Sánchez, and Univision personalities Lili Estefan and Ilia Calderón.
 
The event will be hosted by renowned actress and comedienne Angélica Vale accompanied by the charismatic actor and TV host Jaime Camil.  Other artists already confirmed to perform include urban music sensation Pitbull, Mexico’s sweetheart Lucero, bachata breakout star Prince Royce, new hit trio Alex, Jorge and Lena (Spanish singer Alex Ubago, Colombian singer/composer Jorge Villamizar and Cuban singer/composer Lena), award-winning regional Mexican music group La Arrolladora Banda el Limón, and reggaetón star Tito “El Bambino.”   
 
“Premio Lo Nuestro” honors finalists in 36 categories divided into the five most popular Latin music genres of pop, tropical, regional Mexican, rock and urban, along with “Video of the Year,” “Entertainer of the Year,” and “Collaboration of the Year” which includes nominations of artists from all genres. The “Premio Lo Nuestro 2011” nominees were eligible for the time period of October 1, 2009 to September 30, 2010. The list of finalists is based according to data provided by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems (BDS), the world’s leading provider of airplay tracking for the entertainment industry. The winners of “Premio Lo Nuestro 2011” were already determined by popular vote during the voting period of December 2 through December 24th, 2010 via the www.PremioLoNuestro.com online and mobile sites.
