Alexis Cruz Will Judge GOT MILK? Home Video Commercial Contest.

Actors Alexis Cruz (“Touched By An Angel”) and Craig Lamar Traylor (“Malcolm in the Middle”) will join GOT MILK? executives in selecting the winners of the ‘GOT MILK? Home Video Commercial Contest’ for teens. The committee will judge the entries using the following criteria: creativity, originality, and the best expression of “Milk Deprivation.” The panel will meet in Los Angeles on Thursday, January 25, 2001 at Raleigh Studios located at 650 N. Bronson Avenue in Hollywood from Noon to 3:00PM.

The California Milk Processor Board (CMPB), creators of the popular campaign GOT MILK?, reached out to the teen market by offering them the opportunity to participate in a fun, educational and creative contest. Teens throughout California (especially those interested in visual arts, television, cinema and advertising) were invited to produce and submit their very own GOT MILK? commercials. They were challenged to dramatize the concept of “Milk Deprivation” and the role that milk plays in their lives.

Alexis Cruz, currently on the Emmy-nominated CBS prime time drama “Touched By An Angel,” plays the new Angel, Raphael. Cruz’s credits include participation in series such as NBC’s “ER,” Fox Network movie “The Price of Love,” and Gregory Nava’s film “Why Do Fools Fall In Love.” Twelve-year old teen actor Craig Lamar Traylor currently on “Malcolm in the Middle,” plays Malcolm’s (Frankie Muniz) kid genius wheelchair-bound friend who often is the voice of wisdom. Traylor’s credits include a role in Danny De Vito’s film “Matilda” (1996).

The Grand Prize winner will receive a video-camcorder and the opportunity to stream their home video commercial on the GOT MILK? website (www.gotmilk.com). The two semi-finalists will be awarded a trip to the next GOT MILK? ad shoot plus GOT MILK? merchandise. In addition, all winners will receive a $200 savings bond for college. Winners will be announced early February 2001.
