BK Got Music Summer Soul Tour.

Burger King Corporation in association with Clear Channel Entertainment announced the “Burger King Presents: BK Got Music Summer Soul Tour,” a musical extravaganza headlined by the legendary Luther Vandross and featuring chart-topping performers Angie Stone, Gerald Levert and Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child. The 19-city tour will kick-off Thursday, August 15 in Boston, and is part of Burger King Corporation’s summer long multi tiered promotional campaign, “BK Got Music Summer 2002” which celebrates Black music’s past, present and future.

“The BK Got Music Summer 2002 campaign is a tribute to the historical significance of the Black music contribution,” said Chris Clouser, executive vice president and chief global marketing officer, Burger King Corporation. “We are proud through the BK Got Music Summer Soul Tour, to showcase artists that best exemplify the essence of Black music.”

Clear Channel Entertainment will produce and promote the Tour. In concert with the Tour are national radio promotions offering special prizes to winning fans. Burger King Corporation will be incorporated in print and radio tour advertisements and on-site concert signage.
