Fly Free Pa’ Puerto Rico!

The Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) is making 9,000 free airline tickets available through a new promotion, “Fly Free To Puerto Rico,” which will run from November 1 to December 15, 2001.

“As part of the United States, Puerto Rico is doing everything it can to make U.S. travelers feel comfortable, assured and welcome,” said Milton Segarra, executive director of the PRTC.

The “Fly Free” promotion offers visitors a maximum of two free roundtrip airline tickets per room (double occupancy) when a hotel package for a minimum of five nights on the Island is purchased through a participating wholesaler. Travel via the free airline tickets must originate from one of the following airports offering non-stop service to Puerto Rico: John F. Kennedy Airport (New York), LaGuardia Airport (New York), Newark Airport (New Jersey), Chicago Midway, Orlando Airport (Florida), Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Airport. Taxes, surcharges, upgrades and add-on flights are the responsibility of the passenger. The package must be fully paid at the time of booking and becomes non-refundable. This promotion was created as a joint effort with American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Spirit and ATA.
